Mackintosh Reflected • 2018

Living in Glasgow it is impossible not to be aware of the architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. I had already created Mackintosh Glass and Seed designs inspired by architectural details from his Scotland Street School, when invited by Craft Design House to create new designs for their Mackintosh Reflected Collection. Research led me to design two patterns, Geometric and Leaf, reflecting the influence of geometry and nature in his work. The collection was exhibited at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, celebrating his 150th anniversary and included bespoke hats and scarves in both designs.
